Starting as a real estate agent in 2016, I began investing, renovating, and developing property, building a $7 million portfolio in just six years through adding value, manufacturing equity, and increasing yield. I thought that's what everyone was doing.
But when I looked around, I saw people getting stuck at one or two properties, unable to move forward. I realised why: buyers were relying on the selling agent who is legally and professionally obligated to work for the seller - to guide them through the biggest purchase of their lives.
When I started developing in Wollongong, people kept asking me about the market. I realised I loved helping buyers. So I started Erin May Property to be the advocate on the buyer's side that the industry was missing.
